Our School Programs offer fully-certified placements for children 3 to 22 years who are challenged with severe learning, physical, behavioral, and medical disabilities often related to neurological impairment, such as autism and seizure disorders as well as behavioral issues. The educational programs combine rehabilitation with educational expertise to help children make progress in academics and life skills.
- PreK-12 School Program: The PreK-12 School Programs are designed for students who learn best in a structured small classroom environment with embedded behavioral, social, and emotional support.
- Transition Program: The Transition Program is designed for students that have advanced through the PreK-12 School Program and enrolled by the district to experience community-based, age-appropriate employment prep, and job exploration activities.
- Brain Injury Program: The Brain Injury Program is intensive rehabilitation program specially designed to address the needs of students and young adults who have incurred a traumatic brain injury, head trauma, seizure, stroke, or other medical illness rendering them medically fragile.
- CORE Academy: The CORE Academy at the Sargent Center provides a highly specialized therapeutic special education program for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Diagnostic Program: The Diagnostic Placement is designed as a per diem placement utilized to gather information used for longer-term program recommendations.
- Extended School Year Program: The Extended School Year Program is a traditional extended school year program following strict regulatory requirements. The program includes the option of a full-day educational, therapeutic, behavioral management, recreational, arts, and leisure curriculum.
We also offer comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations and Professional Learning, Consultation & Coaching services to school departments, hospitals, and health care organizations.
